With wall thicknesses from 0.5 to 20 mm, they are suitable for winding ribbon-like materials such as labels and also act as spacers. However, they are also used as protective sleeves for transporting axle stubs, threaded parts and bolts, or to cover paintwork. They can also be designed to provide protection against corrosion.
